(“Seafair,” “we,” “our,” “us”) collects, uses, and discloses certain personal information obtained from users who register to our website (“Site”) as job candidates (“Seafarers”), which is located at https://www.seafair.io. By visiting our Site and/or using the features made available to you on the Site (the “Services”), you are agreeing to the terms of this Policy.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM SEAFARERS
What personal data we collect
We process your data on behalf of our customers (“Employers”), who hire us to provide them with the services of the employment intermediary in the maritime sphere or use our products to manage Seafarer data.

Registration data – You must register to use the Services. We collect the personal information you provide to us during registration, such as first name, last name, email address, phone number, nationality, age, address.

Job candidate data – After you register to use our Services, you make yourself available to Employers as a job candidate. If you choose to upload such data, we may collect data relating to the hiring process, which include, but are not limited to, seafarer profile data (resume, photo, educational and professional background, qualifications), application screening data (answers to the Principal’s screening questions), demographic data (age, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, criminal history)

Employment data – In our capacity as an employment intermediary, we may process all personal data related to your employment, including, but not limited to, contractual information, HR data, health data, payment information (e.g. bank account information).
How we obtain personal data
The personal data is provided to us directly by you, and/or our customers (your Employers). We process your data on behalf of and pursuant to the instructions of our customers (Employers), who hire us to provide them with the services of the employment intermediary in the maritime sphere or use our products to manage Seafarer data. Our collection and processing of your data is limited to the processing permitted in the agreement(s) between our Employers and us, or processing required or permitted by applicable law to provide our services to Employers. Under data protection law, we are our Employers’ data processor or service provider.
Personal data is also provided to us by seafarer agents when they obtain your permission to create profiles on our platform on your behalf.

Account lifetime, after which data will be retained for only as long as required by applicable laws.
Automated Decision Making
Seafair products and services do not use any automated decision-making features.
How we share data
Seafair limits access to personal data only to individuals who need access to perform their tasks and duties, and to third parties who have a lawful purpose for processing or accessing it. As such, personal data may be transferred to:

our subsidiaries and affiliates, to improve our services, including user security, troubleshooting, and detection of fraud and spam,

third parties, such as contractors, business partners, and suppliers to assist us in providing our services on behalf of our customers. Seafair contractually ensures that such parties access data only on a need-to-know basis, and provide at least the same level of privacy protection as is required of Seafair.
International transfers of personal data
To provide its services, Seafair may need to process personal data outside of Seafarer’s home countries. Seafair only transfers personal data to another country in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws, and implementing legally adequate protections.

Seafair maintains appropriate technical and organizational measures, including, but not limited to, administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, implemented to protect personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Content on the Services is directed at individuals over the age of 18 and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
